billy talent was AWESOME

cancer bats were up first, but i had a laaaaaaaaaame place in the crowd [please note: the venue i was at had 4 sections, i was in the second from front section, and the big mosh pit was in the first section] so i just headbanged along to them in silence until like 2/3rds into their set when i decided to venture into the front section, but by the time i actually got there [large venue is large] their set was like almost over, and i didnt get to mosh either :(

they were still pretty awesome tho, and their bassist looks like jeesus 8D

then, silverstein were playing. some dudes who were like twice my age started a mosh pit which was AWESOME and i actually stayed in there until the end of their set

i actually used to hate silverstein but theyre real awesome live, you should totally go see them (they even played their version of 'apologize', paha)

AND THEN AT THE END OF SILVERSTEINS SET. some idiot decided to start a circle pit. well now i do like circle pits but this dude actually wanted to turn the whole first section into one so the people at the front all got squished together, manwich style, and squished and squished and squished until they couldn't squish no more, and then all the kids in the first row started falling down which triggered the kids in the second row falling down which triggered the kids in the third row and so forth and so forth for the first 7 or 8 rows of people, so i winded up having like 6 kids on top of me, AND someones foot shoved into my arse :U

so basically it was like dominos, but with emo kids

AND AFTER THAT, BILLY TALENT PLAYED. like, the WHOLE venue started moshing, which was awesome, but after two and a half songs i had to get out and get a drink since i had been moshing for like an hour beforehand and hadnt gotten anything to drink since i left for the gig itself :/ so i went and got a water, and then just sat down in the very back and just watched them on the big screen until i had to go catch my train back home

they were surprisingly real awesome live, although the fans at the front were so loud that unless you were stood in the back or near the speakers you couldnt actually hear the band themselves

they also played a lot of songs from their older albums, which was awesome since you know their new album, compared to the previous one, kind of sucked a lot

i didnt get any pictures but i did take before & after photos of my self to show off what that mosh did to me so i'm probably posting them tomorrow

all in all i had a great time tho 8D and i got a poster too
